Cycling

To participate in any of our activities you need to be a member – details here. To contact the group please leave a message using the form at the bottom of this page.

Our group will be for those who enjoy a social ride, fresh air and some of the best of Lancashire’s beautiful countryside.

Rides will be approximately 15-25 miles in length at an average speed of 10 -12 mph on the flat and will use quiet roads and cycle paths and cover a variety of terrains .

We will try to take in a stop for a brew and a bite.

No-one will be left behind.

All types of cycles are welcome including (road legal) e-assisted cycles, non standard and adapted cycles.

Riders do need to be comfortable riding on public roads, though we will keep busy roads to a minimum whenever possible.

Our rides will have been ridden previously by the cycle lead and a full description of the ride will be posted on the WPVu3a calendar. A GPX of the route will also be provided in advance if required.

We do ask for your safety and our peace of mind that all participants wear a cycle helmet on our rides.
