The Drawing Group usually meets fortnightly for 90 mins at the Withnell Fold Sports and Social Club. To cover the cost of hiring the clubhouse, each session costs £2 per participant.
We aim to share, and build on, the drawing skills and confidence of people with all levels of experience, using a variety of materials. We have a crate of materials for those who don’t bring their own equipment.
Each session will usually include some of the following although, of course, the content and shape of the sessions will be decided by the members.
- Warm-up activity for each session. These are fun activities to ‘loosen up’ which might include drawing with something unusual.
- Drawing specific types of objects / arrangements – including natural forms, the built environment and ourselves.
- Finding positives about our own work, and that of others, by sharing our efforts at the end of each session.
More than anything else we shall just be absorbed and relaxed by what we are doing and having FUN!
