Welcome to the Heritage Pub Society

If you enjoy good company, a touch of local history, and the charm of a proper pub, the Heritage Pub Society could be just the thing for you.

We organise trips to some of the most interesting and characterful pubs across Lancashire, Manchester and Liverpool – all reached by public transport. Along the way, there’s every chance to revisit old haunts, rediscover places from years gone by, finally try pubs you’ve always meant to visit, or simply uncover a few hidden gems.

It’s as much about the journey as the destination – a relaxed, sociable day out in good company.

Monthly Events

We aim to meet once a month, usually on a weekday during the daytime. Travel is by train or bus (with the occasional short walk), typically starting from Chorley and heading to our chosen destination.

Each trip is organised by a member of the group, who plans the route and helps keep things running smoothly on the day.

The group will be launching later in the year, but you’re very welcome to join now. If you’re interested, simply send a message using the form below to contact Paul Bennett, the group organiser, and we’ll keep you updated.
