We meet at 10.30am on the first Wednesday of every month (except for September, December and January). Outside speakers are invited to talk on a wide variety of topics ranging from local history and international adventure, to interesting hobbies and expertise. Talks will normally be held in Withnell Fold Sports and Social Club unless otherwise stated. Entry is £2 and includes refreshments. All West Pennine Villages u3a members are welcome.
Some events may take place in venues with limited parking. If you are a Blue Badge holder and plan to attend an event or take part in an activity, please contact us and we will endeavour to reserve a car parking space for you.

| Our next speaker will be Peter Turner. He is a professional magician. He regularly gives highly entertaining magic show talks and demonstrations to various u3as, Rotary, Women’s Institute and after dinner events. Within our logical world we live in, there is also a mysterious world. Pete will bring a piece of this mysterious world with him when he attends. Pete Turner performs top quality magic at the highest level delivered with natural humour. His brand of magic has earned the respect from sceptics, which has been rewarded with great five star reviews from his clients. Pete always wears his sleeves up, making his magic for mystifying and magical. Pete has nothing to hide with his magic; he will amaze the sceptics with silence. The best compliment for an Magician, is the silence. The event starts at 10-30am on Wednesday 7th October at Withnell Fold Sports & Social Club. Come early to have a drink and to get a good seat.
