We meet on the first Wednesday of every month at 10.30am. Outside speakers are invited to talk on a wide variety of topics ranging from local history and international adventure, to interesting hobbies and expertise. Talks will normally be held in Withnell Fold Sports and Social Club unless otherwise stated. Entry is £2 and includes refreshments. All West Pennine Villages u3a members are welcome.
Some events may take place in venues with limited parking. If you are a Blue Badge holder and plan to attend an event or take part in an activity, please contact us and we will endeavour to reserve a car parking space for you.

| Our next speaker will be Eileen and Anne, volunteers with Mary’s Meals. Mary’s Meals is a charity that is devoted to ensuring that children have at least one meal daily. The talk tells the story of the charity’s humble beginnings in a shed in Scotland to being a global charity feeding over 2.4 million children. Feedback from other groups that have had this talk have called it “inspirational”, “moving” and “interesting”. The event starts at 10-30am on Wednesday 1st October at Withnell Fold Sports & Social Club. Come early to have a drink and to get a good seat. Entry is £2 which can be paid in cash or by card.
