We meet at 10.30am on the first Wednesday of every month (except for September, December and January). Outside speakers are invited to talk on a wide variety of topics ranging from local history and international adventure, to interesting hobbies and expertise. Talks will normally be held in Withnell Fold Sports and Social Club unless otherwise stated. Entry is £2 and includes refreshments. All West Pennine Villages u3a members are welcome.
Some events may take place in venues with limited parking. If you are a Blue Badge holder and plan to attend an event or take part in an activity, please contact us and we will endeavour to reserve a car parking space for you.

| Our next speaker will be Sid Calderbank His talk is called: The Lancashire Famine: How Lancashire overcame the American Civil War. Sid is a local historian who wants to preserve the Lancashire heritage and dialect. He is highly informative and very entertaining. The event starts at 10-30am on Wednesday1st July at Withnell Fold Sports & Social Club. Come early to have a drink and to get a good seat. Entry is £2 which can be paid in cash or by card.
