Annual General Meeting 2024

10am  Wednesday 17^th April 2024

MINUTES

The Chair opened the meeting and welcomed those present. Attendance was good and the meeting declared quorate. The progress to this AGM was summarised and a vote of thanks to the committee and wpvu3a  was passed on.

Committee members present:- AF GT NT PB MB LW SP  JW  CB [LR and MS proposed new members.]

Apologies had been received from:-B. Fenton  P. Holt  E. Riding  L. and M. Pringle  K. Aldred  G. Green P. Harper M. Taylor Edwards Mr and Mrs R. Boone and R. Radia

1. Approval of the Minutes of the previous AGM [April  2023]. These had been available online and were unanimously approved.

• Approval of Trustee report-This was unanimously approved.

• Approval of Trustee Accounts- A vote of thanks was offered to the Treasurer and the accounts were unanimously approved.

• Approval of proposed Constitution Change [previously circulated to all members] – Those present were reminded of the changes proposed and of subsequent steps to inform TAT and the Charity commission.

This change was approved unanimously

• Election of Officers:-
• Chair- Ann Furlong
• Vice Chair-Geoff Tittensor
• Treasurer- Paul Brooking
• Secretary-Norma Tittensor

All of these  officers were approved having previously been proposed and seconded [ the vice-chair took control of the meeting for the first appointment]

• Election of    committee Members

Other committee members were also willing to stand again and were re-elected, having been proposed and seconded.

• Steven Perry
• Clive Bass
• Graham Green
• Kay Aldred
• Jane Watson

There were, in addition, 3 new committee members willing to stand –Mike Smith, Lynn Robinson and Rohit Radia.

Their election was approved.

No additional business had been received.

The chair closed the meeting after reminding attendees that the next three years of office for the original committee will of necessity be the last and therefore volunteers to take up roles will still be needed. Thanks were offered to the committee for services rendered.
