You do not need to actually own a classic vehicle to join this group; simply to have an interest in all forms of historic transport. The group will enjoy learning about a wide range of classic vehicles, not just cars.
During the autumn and winter months the group will hold indoor meetings now and then with either visiting speakers, members’ contributions or just to chat. During the spring, summer and autumn months we will organise a number of runs out (possibly providing the opportunity to travel in a classic vehicle) and also attend a number of appropriate events including rallies, shows etc.
The group will organise its own activities to appeal to the interests of the members.
Most shows are on a Sunday.
“Classics at The Mill” is an impromptu car meeting held on the second Sunday of every month at St. Catherine’s Hospice starting a 10 a.m. Unless anything else is arranged for that month we can meet there. If only one person turns up it is still interesting looking at the cars and talking to the other owners there.
Our last visit was the Leyland Commercial Vehicle Museum where a good time was had by all.
