Digital Skills

To participate in any of our activities you need to be a member – details here. To contact the group please leave a message using the form at the bottom of this page.

The Digital Skills group meets on ad hoc basis to discuss and direct members understand and resolve any issues they might have in using modern technology. The group is intended to help solve day-to-day problems with apps, online safety, guidance in areas such as online banking, shopping, email etc. The group does not offer in depth technical expertise and is very much a friendly face-to-face opportrunity to understand how to get the best from one’s smartphone, laptop or table

If you would like to receive notification of these ad hoc sessions please join the group by completing the form at the bottom of this page

If there are no group sessions planned and you would like to organise a face-to-face session please message Paul Brooking using the “Leave a message” form at the bottom of the page

For more in depth support we suggest contacting https://abilitynet.org.uk/ a UK charity whose goal is to help older and disabled people enjoy a digital world accessible to all. Ability Net offers support by with, email and home visits. West Pennine Villages has worked with AbilityNet in the past to run Digital Skills sessions, everyone who attended was impressed by and comfortable with the very relaxed atmosphere AbilityNet brings to what can be a daunting topic
